Privacy Policy
This is a static reference site. There is nothing to register for, no form that stores anything, and no personal data held about readers. The rest of this page explains what that means technically.
What is not collected
No accounts, no logins, no newsletters, no payment forms. We do not ask for your name, number, address, date of birth or documents. We take no stakes and process no transactions, so financial data never reaches us at any point.
Server logs
A web server records standard entries for each request: IP address, timestamp, page requested, status code and user-agent string. They exist to keep the site online and identify abusive traffic. They are not used to identify individuals, are not combined with other datasets, and are rotated and discarded after a short period.
Cookies
No advertising or tracking cookies are set by us. Your browser may cache files to load pages faster, which is ordinary behaviour rather than collection. Blocking cookies or clearing the cache costs you nothing here.
Resources from other hosts
Some pages load fonts, icons or script libraries from public content delivery networks. When your browser fetches such a file, that provider receives the technical request data described above — inherent to how the web works, and outside our access. Outbound links are governed by the destination's own policy from the moment you arrive.
Analytics
Where aggregate traffic measurement is used it answers dull questions about which pages get read and whether anything is broken on mobile. It is not used for advertising, and traffic data is not sold, rented or shared.
Children
The site is for adults and the subject matter is unsuitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has emailed us, tell us and the correspondence will be deleted.
Your rights
With no account data held there is usually nothing to export or erase. If you have emailed us you may ask for that correspondence to be deleted. Depending on where you live you may have further rights of access, correction, erasure or objection, and we will respond in line with the law that applies to you.
Security
Served over an encrypted connection, with no user database behind it. That is less a security programme than an absence of anything worth attacking, which for a site of this kind is the more dependable arrangement.
